PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem that since a conventional separator has a property of being swollen and wetted by a nonaqueous electrolyte, the separator itself is swollen to produce wrinkles between positive and negative electrodes when the electrolyte is injected after a battery is assembled, and thereby the thickness of the separator is made different depending on places to make a current distribution uneven or a wrinkle is produced in inserting the separator because it is not tightly fitted to the electrode in composing an electrode group, so that it becomes hard to fill an active material and to stably manufacture the battery to degrade the yield thereof. SOLUTION: By exposing an endothermic insulation resin having porosity in the electrode to the surface of the electrode by means of spinodal decomposition or a micell method, the resin same as one in the electrode is continuously formed on the surface of the electrode as a resin layer, so that the battery can be composed without using the conventional separator. |
