PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element with excellent weathering property and excellent photoelectric conversion property at near-infrared area, and to provide phthalocyanine compound as a dyestuff compound which is useful as a material for the photoelectric conversion element. SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element is manufactured by using an electrode made of metal or metal oxide made to combine with and/or absorb a compound, composed by using more than one kind of phthalocyanine compound having at least one sulfur atom as a substituent. Phthalocyanine compound useful for the photoelectric conversion element is provided.
