PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system in which a plurality of the image forming devices connected to a network can update programs without the need for individually downloading the programs from a center machine and can update the programs with excellent matching among them. SOLUTION: One of the image forming devices connected to the network and capable of sending/receiving the program with the other image forming device connected to the network compares the version of its own program with the version of another image forming device through the network. When the version of its own program is older, the image forming device receives the program from the other image forming device, and when the version of its own program is newer, the image forming device transmits the program to the other image forming device. |
