PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a quick start-up by cutting down time for temperature rise at start-up of a hydrogen generating device. SOLUTION: With the hydrogen generating device for the fuel cell which uses hydrocarbon system fuel as raw material and obtains hydrogen from partial oxidization of the material and vapor reforming reaction, an auxiliary combustion room 2 is fitted at an outer periphery of a reforming reactor 1. By combusting auxiliary fuel in the auxiliary combustion room 2 at the time of start-up, heat is supplied from the auxiliary combustion room 2 to a reforming reaction room 1 and start-up time of the reforming reaction room 1 is cut out, while in a steady state, heat dissipating from the outer periphery of the reforming reaction room is restrained. |
