PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte composition comprising liquid crystal polysiloxane with excellent charge transport performance, durability and ion conductivity and to provide an electrochemical battery, a nonaqueous secondary battery and a photoelectrochemical battery with excellent durability, electric characteristics (photoelectric conversion characteristics) and cycle characteristics without characteristic degradation with the lapse of time. SOLUTION: The electrolyte composition comprises the liquid crystal polysiloxane having structure expressed by the following general formula I, as a repeated unit. In the general formula I, R<1> and R<2> are each an alkyl group or an alkoxy group independently, L<1> and L<2> are each a bivalent linkage group or a single bond independently, X is a methogen group, at least one of R<1> , R<2> , L<1> , L<2> and X has an ionic substituent, and n1 is an integer of 1 or more. |
