PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for multidimensional programming for preparing a multidimensional flowchart for horizontal writing capable of eliminating the inconvenience of a program flowchart for vertical writing and completely changing a technique for programming. SOLUTION: A central processing device 9A reads an object MD (object information) from an object MD file (object file part 5) for storing object information for preparing the multidirectional flowcharts for horizontal writing such as a two-dimensional flowchart, a three-dimensional flowchart, and a four-dimensional flowchart. Next, based on the input instructions of a programmer, the central processing device 9A edits the multidimensional flowchart by using the object information. Based on the edited multidirectional flowchart, the multidirectional flowchart for horizontal writing is drawn, and displayed on the display device 92. The central processing device 9A stores the edited multidirectional flowchart in the object file part 5.
