PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply, quickly, efficiently and surely inspect a battery stack composed by bridging and connecting terminals of plural batteries adjoining to one another through lead plates and by respectively connecting and fixing both end parts of the lead plates to the battery terminals. SOLUTION: After predetermined pressing force is applied to an intermediate part of each lead plate 30 for bridging and connecting between the terminals 22 and 24, the application of the pressing force is removed and the electromotive force of the battery stack 10 is inspected. This tool 40 for executing the inspection has (1) a pair of movable stopping members 4a and 4b facing to each other by interposing a battery bank constituting the battery stack 10, (2) a plurality of pressing pins 50 vertically projecting toward the battery bank side are attached to the respective stopping members 4a and 4b, and (3) the respective pressing pins 50 are so disposed that their tips vertically come into contact with the intermediate parts of the lead plates 30 and elastically supported so as to abut on the lead plates 30 with predetermined pressing force when the stopping members 4a and 4b are moved and driven toward the battery bank side.
