PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet-holding body and a dynamo-electric machine in which cooling effect is enhanced. SOLUTION: The dynamo-electric machine comprises a stator, an armature, a brush, and the like, and the stator comprises a yoke, magnets, and the like. The armature comprises a rotating shaft, winding, a rectifier installed on the rotating shaft, and the like. The yoke comprises a cylindrical portion, and an end portion, which closes one end of the cylindrical portion that is open. An intake port (air suction hole) and an exhaust port (air discharge hole) are formed at specified positions. A plurality of magnets are held by the magnet- holding bodies 30. A magnet holding body 30 is placed between a plurality of magnets M and is provided with holding pieces 32, which are abutted against the shorter faces of adjacent magnets M in the circumferential direction and further press the magnets outward in the radial direction; and an interrupting piece 33 which is positioned between the holding pieces 32 erected inward in the radial direction.
