PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjustment mechanism and an adjusting method for a disk player capable of improving the accuracy of tracking balance adjustment. SOLUTION: When a servo LSI 20 measures a direct current offset voltage included in a tracking error signal, a system controller 30 sets offset correction data to be stored in an offset adjusting part 62 to '0'. Next, the system controller 30 makes the servo LSI 20 perform tracking balance adjustment and acquires tracking balance correction data. Then, the system controller 30 modifies the tracking balance correction data by taking into consideration the previously measured direct current offset voltage, outputs the modified tracking balance correction data to a tracking balance adjusting part 66, and also outputs offset correction data corresponding to the direct current offset voltage to the offset adjusting part 62.
