PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling a laser writing output in an optical disk recording/playback device by which the laser power is optimized when data are written to the optical disk with a zone CLV method, and to provide the optical disk recording/playback device. SOLUTION: This control method controls the laser power for writing of the optical disk recording/playback device being controlled by the zone CLV method which allows the write by increasing the linear speed stepwise at the writing as going toward the outer circumferential side of an optical disk 10. The laser power for writing is changed when the linear speed at the writing is changed. |
