PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high output semiconductor laser exhibiting excellent condensing properties. SOLUTION: A semiconductor laser medium 100 having a plurality of amplifying regions arranged in parallel along an active layer, and outer mirrors 11 and 12 constitute a resonator unstable in the arranging direction of the amplifying regions and laser light 20 is taken out from the semiconductor laser medium by means of the unstable resonator. The unstable resonator is a one-dimensional unstable resonator constituting a stable resonator in the direction perpendicular to the active layer of the semiconductor laser medium. A plurality of semiconductor laser media are laid in layer in the direction perpendicular to the active layer.
