PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device capable of easily and surely cleaning remains after transferring of a picture and to provide a printer provided with the cleaning device and a cleaning method. SOLUTION: The cleaning device 70 is used for a printer provided with a photoreceptor drum 2, a charging device, an exposure device, a developing means and a backup roller. The cleaning device 70 is provided with a pressing roller 71 which wipes the remains after transfering of the picture on the photoreceptor drum 2 by pressing a cleaning web S to the photoreceptor drum 2 and a feeding means 79 for feeding the cleaning web S between this pressing roller 71 and the photoreceptor drum 2. The cleaning web S is formed of a flexible band member having a porous surface.
