<p>A cathode ray tube (CRT) (2) comprising a display (4) for presenting an image, a deflection device (10), and an electron gun (12) comprising electron-generating cathodes (22a-c) for generating electron beams (14a-c). Said CRT (2) comprises an electron beam controller for varying the trajectory of at least a first electron beam of the electron beams (14a-c) as a function of the intensity of at least said first electron beam, in order to compensate for changes in the convergence angle between electron beams (14a-c) near the display (4).
