A sound event (SE) is identified within sound-related data by using a first group of rules. A first group of values (FGV) is determined by using a second group of rules and then assigned to one or more characteristic parameters (CPs) for an SE. The FGV is converted into a second group of values (SGV) by using a third group of rules. The SGV is assigned to one or more CPs for one or more three-dimensional objects represented to a user by means of a user interface. Independent claims are also included for a device for processing sound-related data, for a musical/keyboard instrument with sound-generating devices, for a three-dimensional formation/sculpture of note/tonal sequences and for a computer program for processing sound-related data.
