The propulsion system for especially a road finisher has a torque divided transmission, whereby at least two outputs of the finisher are connected to a common transmission branch. The common transmission branch is a main transmission. At least one travelling drive (18) and at least one drive for the conveyor belt (38) are connected to a common drive shaft (24). The torque divided transmission may have at least one three-shaft summing gear through which are connected the main transmission and auxiliary transmissions.
