The telephone has an evaluation and control unit which outputs a chemical signal instead of or in together with a ring tone or visual signal, when there is an incoming call. The telephone may have a fragrance dispenser which releases fragrance when there is an incoming call. Several fragrances may be arranged in specific dispensers.
