It is intended to provide a ventilation filter member whereby carbon dioxide in a cultivation container can be replaced by the air in the atmosphere and, simultaneously, a medium in the cultivation container can be prevented from the invasion of miscellaneous bacteria and mites and a cultivation container and a cap for a cultivation container provided with the ventilation filter member. A cultivation bottle 51 comprises a bottle body 53 and a cap 55 attached to an opening 61. This cap 55 has a cap body 56 and a ventilation filter member 57. A hole 58 is formed in the cap body 56. The ventilation filter member 57 has a large number of micropores of from 0.1 to 50 mum in diameter and is attached to the hole 58.
