An edition apparatus,a reproduction apparatus,and a recording medium capable of reproducing a special effect by fully using functions of the reproduction apparatus.The edition apparatus includes original video data and edition data as a collection of edition codes for performing desired types of edition to a desired portion of the original video data and creates video data after edition.The edition apparatus further includes primary conversion table addition means for adding to the video data after edition a primary conversion table for correlating at least desired type of edition with a predetermined standard type of edition.
