<p>The present invention achieves power savings turning off all or some of the baseband processing and timeslots that have not been transmitted due to full or partial DTX. With respect to partial DTX, the TFCI is read at the beginning of shortest TTI in CCTRCH (step 12). If determine YES, all codes and timeslots are used repeat step 12 and if determine NO, not all codes and timeslots are used (step 13). Then the transmitted codes and associate timeslots and radio frames within the shortest TTI in the CCTrCH are determined from the received TFCI (step 14). Thereafter, the receiver is turned off for the unused codes as indicated by the received TFCI (step 16). With respect to full DTX, following TFCI reception, the receiver is turned off for all timeslots within the shortest TTI.</p> |
