The brick-shaped sponge (1) is provided with an inner space (2) for the accommodation of a soft container which can be filled with a bar of soap or any other cleansing substance. The container is inserted through a narrow, but elastic opening (3) at the side, preventing the contents from an unintentional removal. When the sponge (1) is squeezed, some of the substance is released through holes located at the soft container into the spongy cover. The amount to be dispensed can be regulated by the level of pressure used.
