The auxiliary heating device has at least one temperature sensor delivering an output signal evaluated by a control and/or regulating device for control and/or regulation of the heating device, with a correction algorithm used for correction of the temperature sensor output signal for compensating inaccuracies. An Independent claim for a control and/or regulation method for an automobile auxiliary heating device is also included.
