The process described in the parent Specification is applied to fibrous cellulosic materials other than cloth, e.g. kapok, hemp, wood, woodflour, sawdust, pressed boards, cardboard, paper, and batting. Woodflour, after soaking in the solution used in example 1 of the parent Specification further diluted, is deliquored on a filter press. The filter cake is partly dried, agitated while immersed in aqueous sodium carbonate, again deliquored, and dried.</p> |
