A gamma detector has matrix-shaped detector elements that form a detector surface with detection areas (15) sensitive to gamma radiation and less sensitive intermediate areas (16). By using a rapid prototyping technique, a main structure (17) for a collimator is built over the detector surface on the gamma detector or on a carrier plate linked to the gamma detector. The main structure is coated with a material for easily absorbing gamma radiation. An Independent claim is also included for a gamma detector fitted with matrix-shaped detector elements and a collimator made from absorbent structural elements. |
