<p>An apparatus for ultrasonic processing of organic compounds comprises first (1) and second (2) hemispherical members, both connected together to thus define a spherical receptacle. There are vibrators (7) attached to the outer surfaces of the hemispherical members for supplying ultrasonic vibrations to the material being processed in the spherical receptacle, a plurality of inlet channels (11) and outlet channels (13) for respectively feeding a starting material and withdrawing the same are provided. The apparatus further comprises a diaphragm (15) arranged in the mating plane of the hemispherical members (1 and 2) and having an opening (18) in its central portion for passage of the material being processed in the spherical receptacle from the first (1) hemispherical member into the second (2) hemispherical member. As an alternative to the diaphragm (15), a plurality of pipes may be provided, each connected with a respective one of the inlet channels (11) on one of its end and extending into the central zone of the spherical receptacle on the other.</p> |
