A two-way arrester lever (11) in the tank neck (18) has an arrester (22) at the lever end furthest from the neck entry. When at rest the arrester (22) reaches into the neck section to prevent lead-free gasoline tanking entry with its narrower section. A diesel tanking however of larger section trips an action lug (23) at the lever end nearest the neck entry so as to latch the lever (11) back wide into the diesel tanking setting. Spring (14) holds the lever at rest and the lever pivots on an axis (12) running as chord within the tank neck (18) and forming part of the lever fixer sleeve (13). Sleeve, levers and frame (15) form a retrofittable and releasable unit for building into the tank neck.
