The invention concerns a device for transmitting an electric current between a substantially rigid conductor and a mobile sensor, device wherein contact pressure is produced at least partly by magnetic attraction forces between the conductor and the sensor, instead of solely conventional mechanical thrust forces. Said magnetic attraction forces are generated by suitably generated and guided magnetic fields. Thus, an excellent electrical transmission is provided in a wide range of speeds while reducing or eliminating the usual electric arcs, perturbations and oscillations in the conductor caused by the thrust exerted by the sensor during its passage. The invention is applicable in particular to the catenary/sensor system used by high speed trains. |
