A baking method in a vacuum induction melting apparatus comprises the steps of providing an induction heating metal crucible which is placed into the vacuum vessel and further providing an induction heating coil attached to said crucible and an externally installed hot water supply unit, wherein the vacuum vessel has a double-jacket structure. Furthermore, circulating hot or cooling water is supplied in a water passage space provided in each of said vacuum vessel, the metal crucible and the induction heating coil.
