The seal (1) has a sealing component (7) with a contour which conforms to that of the mouth of the container being sealed and with a lever (14) outside the container. The sealing component is installed inside the container and by the lever is guided into the mouth of the container from the inside for the repeated opening and closing of the mouth. The sealing is detachably fastened on the container by means of a pivot point (11). The sealing component is pivotable into the mouth by means of the pivot point around an axis lying parallel to the plane of the mouth.
