Device comprises a rigid, horizontal base plate (1) and vertical pegs (2) with flat or rounded caps which exert pressure on tight muscles in a similar manner to manually applied acupressure. The user sits or lies on a soft base, e.g. a mattress or padded chair, which provides a spring effect at the start of treatment and then amplifies the pressure on the muscles through its own elasticity. The device is moved during treatment to work on untreated areas.
