An optical switching arrangement having a first deflector module (12) having a plurality of first optical deflectors that emits a first polarized collection of beams (20) to a polarization beam combiner (18) and a second deflector module (14) having a plurality of second optical deflectors that emits a second collection of beams (22) to the polarization beam combiner. The polarization beam combiner being disposed in a first light path of the first polarized collection of beams and in a second light path of the second collection of beams so as to combine the first and second collection of beams into a single output beam (30). The optical switching arrangement further includes a half wave plate (24) interposed between one of the deflector modules and the polarization beam combiner.
