<p>A poly(cyclosiloxane) is synthesized by oxidation with water in the presence of a Pt catalyst, followed immediately by polycondensation of the Si-OH groups to form Si-O-Si linkages. Thus, pentamethylcyclopentasiloxane can be polymerized into poly(pentamethycyclopentasiloxane).</p> |
