A device has an alarm mechanism and an integrated separate chip for determining a location. It can take the form of a button for triggering an alarm if pressed in or smashed to frighten an attacker. Triggering the alarm activates an emergency call with the police. A transmitter e.g. a chip can be worn independently of the alarm, e.g. in jewelry, in a wristwatch, in a ring, in a shoe or in clothing.
