The invention concerns a microfluidic device for handling a non-magnetic liquid, comprising at least a cell including: a chamber for confining a magnetic liquid (5) non miscible with the non-magnetic liquid (7) to be handled, magnetic means (6) associated with the chamber for locally applying to the magnetic liquid a magnetic field whereof the energy profile has a depression causing by discharge of the magnetic liquid, at least a volume for receiving non-magnetic liquid, the magnetic field being capable of displacement to enable handling of the non-magnetic liquid between inputting means (3) and evacuating means (4).
