A bag (28) formed at least from a laminate of paper (17,19) and a polymeric material (18,20) where there is a factory closed end (21) and a customer useable end (whether open mouthed or valved). An embodiment of interest is an assembly of such open mouthed bag (28) as an outer protective bag (22) (preferably block bottomed) about a factory provided inner bag of a plastics film (56,61) or laminate.
