Valuable document comprises a decorative element (14) supported on its surface (12) and having a magnetic layer (16) made from a dispersion of magnetizable particles in a binder and structural layer (18) with a spatial surface structure. The spatial surface structure has a roughness depth of 0.8-10 Micro. The spatial surface structure forms an optically non-magnetizable high refracting layer or reflecting layer. An independent claim is also included for an embossed foil used in the manufacture of the valuable document. Preferred Features: The reflecting layer is made from a metal oxide and/or metal sulfide, preferably zinc sulfide, titanium oxide and/or silicon oxide.
