Partial exposure method for ribbon cable conductor path uses stripping wheel for removal of section of cable insulation for providing window revealing conductor path

The method has a window formed in the insulation of the ribbon cable (1) by tensioning the latter and removing a section of the cable insulation corresponding to the window, for partial exposure of a cable conductor path. The ribbon cable is clamped on opposite sides of the required window and a stripping wheel (26) acts on the tensioned ribbon cable perpendicular to the cable plane, for deformation of the ribbon cable into an arc, with removal of the insulation by rotation of the stripping wheel. An Independent claim for a device for partial exposure of a ribbon cable conductor path is also included.
