The shopping bag (1) has a bag part (2) of flexible material with an opening (3) and two diametrically opposed grips (5) of rigid material at the edge (4) of the opening. At the edge an upper grip section is held and a lower grip section (5') loosely overlaps one side of the bag. The grips laterally are rigidly connected with shafts (9-12) to which the grips are pivotably held at the edge of the opening. The shafts are held in rings or loops (13) or a seam at the edge. The grips are completely or partly arched or inclined. They have the form of a ring (7,8). The flexible material of the bag is a foil and/or a paper and/or a cardboard and/or a textile material. It can also be of plastic or a natural material. The grips are of plastic. The grips and the shafts are connected to each other in a one-piece structure.
