The invention concerns a substrate coated with a transparent organic film and a method for making same, and use thereof. The film-coated substrate is characterized in that the film is an electrically insulating organic polymer and transparent in at least a range of wavelengths, and in that the film is associated with a marker emitting at least in said wavelength range. The invention is in particular applicable in a means for detecting a chemical species, such as a biochip, in a quality control process, a certification process or an authentication process for an object.
