The invention relates to a pressure sensor (10) which is used to measure hydraulic pressure, especially in mining hydraulics. The inventive sensor comprises a connection element (12) which can be connected to a pressure sensor connection (14) of a hydraulic device (15), and a hydroelectric pressure transducer (19) which is actuated by the hydraulic pressure on the pressure sensor connection. The aim of the invention is to prevent sudden pressure changes in the hydraulic system, in the form of pressure peaks, from having an effect on the pressure transducer and impairing the same. To this end, a pressure peak attenuating element (25) is arranged between the pressure sensor connection and the pressure transducer, said attenuating element comprising at least one throttle bore and a compensation chamber for hydraulic fluid in a preferred embodiment of the invention.
