The unlocking device for locking bolts of auger drills (8) has a U-shaped yoke (1) in one leg (2) of which a hand-operated unlocking pin (3) can be moved in and out in the direction towards the other leg (4). The end of the unlocking pin protruding from the U-shaped yoke supports a handgrip (5). A preloaded compression spring (6) is installed between the handgrip and associated leg of the U-shaped yoke. The locking pin in its section lying within the yoke has a retention element (7).
