A remote retrieval system includes a data center (120), a mobile device (130) and a destination device (140). Prior to transmission, the mobile device (130) determines if any translation of the original message is required in order to receive a proper format in the destination device (140). Once translation is effected, the message is routed to the destination device (140) for output.
