Adhesion of a specified one of substrates as disposed to oppose each other with a layer of liquid crystal material interposed therebetween to the remaining one of the substrates is made by a sealing material which also has liquid crystal sealing functionality while causing more than one projection body to be disposed within the sealing material along the longitudinal direction of such seal material, wherein this projection body is formed at either one of the respective substrates.
