The optical fibre connection mechanism has an optical fibre (F) and an optoelectronic component for connection. there is a holder (8) with a moving arm (9,10). The holder has a first zone introducing the fibre in the holder without exercising pressure, and limited by the holder and the moving arm. There is a second zone fixing the fibre in place in the holder following pressure exercised on the fibre by the moving arm.
