PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the determination and control of catch during the traveling of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In this control method of a power slide device 10 for sliding a slide door 11 for a vehicle, which is fitted to a car body 13 freely to slide, with the power of a motor 14 in a door opening direction and a door closing direction, when abnormality of slide of the slide door 11 due to the rotation of the motor 14 to close the door is detected for the first time, car speed is measured for the first time, and in the case of the first measured car speed less than the predetermined speed, the control for catch is quickly done, and in the case of the first measured car speed at the predetermined speed or more, the motor 14 is stopped for the predetermined time, and thereafter the car speed is measured again. When the car speed measured again is less than the predetermined speed, the control for catch is quickly done, and when the car speed measured again is the predetermined speed or more, the motor 14 is rotated to close the door again. Thereafter, abnormality of slide is determined again, and when abnormality of the slide is detected again, the control for catch is done. |
