PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-developable photosensitive material yielding an image whose silver tone is easily regulated and having improved image stability after processing. SOLUTION: The heat-developable image recording material has at least one photosensitive layer comprising photosensitive silver halide, a non- photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducer and a binder on a support, has <=10 mg/m<2> chloride ions in all layers on the photosensitive layer side of the support and contains a hindered phenol compound having a specified structure as the reducer.
