PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring apparatus capable of easily measuring an object to be enlarged and inspected such as a printed circuit board in a short time without fatiguing an inspector. SOLUTION: The measuring apparatus 1 is constituted of an image pickup device 2, a processing unit 3, a displayed device 4, and an indicating device 5. The image pickup device 2 is movable, automatically photographs the object to be measured in the direction of its bottom part, and displays the enlarged and photographed image of the object to be measured on the display device 4. When the indicating device 5 is operated to select a measurement command from among a list of measurement commands displayed on the display device 4 and specify any point on the image, the processing unit 3 executes operation according to the measurement command and the specified point on the image and displays the result of the operation on the display device 4. By this, since it is possible for the operator to perform measurements and inspections through the use of the measuring apparatus while verifying the image of the object to be measured displayed on the image display device, it is possible to easily perform inspections in a short time without fatiguing his eyes.
