The equipment consists of color meter (101), computer (102) controlling a projection device (100). The meter which can pivot about two axes, monitors the target area (104) on a measurement surface and provides color coordinates for processing by the computer. The computer generates a special two dimensional color pattern (106) and controls the projection device to display this on the measurement surface. The form of the pattern is such that each position of it's two dimensional span has a non recurring and thus unique color. Thus a clear coordination exists between the color at a position and that of the related position on the color pattern, enabling the target area at which the color meter is aimed to be marked optically. |
