PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission and reception module which has superior electromagnetic radiation noise characteristics and is easy to assemble. SOLUTION: The whole of case 11 of a receptacle part 10a of the optical transmission and reception module 10 is made of metal, so electromagnetic radiation noises are prevented from entering the optical transmission reception module 10 or exiting from the optical transmission and reception module 10. Namely, an EMC characteristic is improved. Further, a sleeve 12 with a claw is fixed in the case 11 with L-shaped metal fittings, so the assembly is facilitated.
