PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a method for controlling a dynamometer by coupling it with an engine through a shaft and passing the output from a controller including an integration element through a limiter that the integration element performs integration operation excessively when it is limited by means of the limiter to cause response lag or overshoot of control. SOLUTION: A controller 21 is divided into a transfer function C1 (s) including an integration element and other transfer function C2 (s). A saturation deciding section 23 and a multiplier MX invalidate an input to the transfer function C1 (s) when a dynamo torque command value is saturated by means of the limiter 22 and the difference between a command value to the controller and a detection value has a trend to eliminate the saturated state otherwise validate the input to the transfer function C1 (s).
