PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of conventional polyolefin tapes for the sealing of a can comprising poor sealability in the case of performing the sealing work (winding work to fix a lid of a metallic can or a metallic box the can or box body) at a sealing speed of as high as about 1,200 mm/sec caused by the incomplete recovery of the stretched tape owing to the inadequate elongation of the tape. SOLUTION: This can-sealing tape is composed of a filmy substrate and a tacky adhesive layer laminated on the back of the substrate. The filmy substrate is a polymer film containing a compound having carboxyl group or an ionomer resin film.
